Emergency Support

Evan’s Promise is dedicated to providing informative aftercare services and information after the death of a loved one by suicide.  This topic can sometimes lead you, the survivor, to find themselves in crisis mode and in need of emergency care.

If you, or someone you know is experiencing a crisis, please see the resources below.  If it is a life ending emergency dial 911!

People who've recently lost someone through suicide are at an increased risk for thinking about, planning, or attempting suicide.  Aftercare support is available and immediate help can be found by calling the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.

It is possible to look forward to a peaceful, hope-filled future.  In truth, something that resembles grief may live within you forever.  However, the raw intensity of grief will fade and it will be integrated into your daily life.

Your understanding of the impacts resulting from a suicide and learning how to cope with your grief will help you heal.  You may honor the memory of your loved one by one day sharing your story of survival.
